WSU classmates
My name is Barb Hinkley, I am taking this class on line because I am no longer in Michigan. I started my Masters degree at Wayne State, but then moved to Tennessee. I will be able to finish everything on line. I am married, Duane has 3 children from his first marriage, I have 2, between us we have 14 grandchildren and one on the way. Duane and I are classic Corvette fans, we have two, a 76 and an 88. I am working at Tyner Middle Academy as a Reading Interventionist. I am using an on line reading program, Carbo Reading Styles Program. So I have seen the benefit of on line learning and wanted to explore it further for myself.

Hi Barb! My dad is finishing up restoring a 68/67 Corvette. I can't remember which year, but I know it was the last year for the Sting Ray. He loves it! -Amber
ReplyDeleteThey are easy cars to love, we are involved in a classic car show this weekend here, tell your dad he should get involved with a club, it is lots of fun being around others who share your love.
DeleteCars are more utilitarian for me. Point A-->Point B, and don't break along the way. I am car company poison: each of the cars I've primarily driven in life all belong to defunct companies (Oldsmobile, Mercury, Plymouth, Saturn, and currently a Pontiac). Welcome!
ReplyDeleteMy dad was a Vette man for decades--'65, '78. '85, and '94 (which he recently sold--so sad!). I remember standing up behind the seats of the convertible '65 with the wind blowing through my hair when I was a toddler. Oh, the 1970s--nobody cared about childhood safety. :)
ReplyDeletegot a first place trophy Yeah! I was a take 'em or leave 'em type of car person too, until I married Duane and fell in love with his Corvettes too. they do create great memories, this summer we are planning a month long trip to the Grand Canyon to Wyoming to MI then home, such memories we will have!
